Skins Project
clericimediahuus.com. Sensuality Without Showing Anything | A Photo Project Inspired by Edward Weston What are you really looking at? In 1930, Edward Weston photographed a pepper and made it look like a human body. With Skins, I tried the opposite: I photographed a human body so close that it stops being a body and becomes texture, landscape and shadow. No nudity. Nothing explicit. Just skin, a black background and light shaped by hand. Yet almost everyone who sees these images calls them sensual. So where does that sensuality come from: the photograph, or the eye of the viewer?
